What We Fix on Samsung
By appliance, and both are laundry. These are the faults Aaron sees on Samsung machines here.
What Samsung Machines Are Like to Work On
Access runs differently from a Whirlpool
On a Samsung, access runs differently from a Whirlpool: the top cover, the rear control panel cover and the front panel all come off to reach the components, rather than the back-panel-first order a Whirlpool or Maytag dryer uses.
Parts are ordered, not picked up
Samsung parts are ordered through an online supplier rather than picked up, which usually means one to two days and a return visit. Samsung machines here are usually between three and ten years old, sometimes more.
Is It Worth Keeping?
Yes, with a caveat that is about patience rather than money. The repairs themselves are ordinary and the labor is no different from any other brand.
What is different is the wait. If you need a machine back the same afternoon, a Samsung is the brand least likely to give you that, and it is worth knowing before you commit rather than after. Aaron will tell you which situation you are in on the phone.

What It Costs
$100 service call, applied to the repair.
The honest note on Samsung is about time rather than money. The labor is no different.
One all-in figure, and nothing ordered without your approval.
How the Visit Goes
Three to Ten-Plus Years, and the Same Honest Note as LG
Samsung machines he gets called to run about three to ten years old and more, and here they are laundry.
The parts answer is the same one he gives on LG, and for the same reason: harder to get than a Whirlpool-family machine, so plan on the diagnosis and the repair being separate visits rather than hoping otherwise.
And the same second half applies. In Aaron's experience these machines usually don't have many issues. What you are buying on a Samsung repair is a slightly longer wait on a machine that has not asked for much. The faults are short and physical. On the dryers it is a heating element, a broken belt or idler pulley, or a worn roller making noise. On the washers it is the drain pump, or suspension rods letting the machine go out of balance.
Finding the Model Number on a Samsung, and One Honest Note About the Source
Same reason as LG: parts come from further away, so the number has to be right before anything is ordered.
Samsung says that if the label is somewhere awkward, photograph it with your phone so the numbers are easier to read and record. That is worth doing.

Questions We Get Asked
Why do Samsung parts take longer?
They come through an online supplier rather than off the shelf at the parts counter in Birmingham. Usually one to two days. It is not a comment on the machine.
Will it take two visits?
More often than on a Whirlpool, yes, because the part is ordered. You will be told which before you commit.
Does that cost more?
No. The labor is the same. It is a timeline difference, not a price one.
Warranty?
Ninety days on parts and labor. Replacement boards excluded.

Each of these has its own page with the faults, the parts reality and the model-plate location for that badge.
Where We Work, and How to Reach Us
Samsung laundry repair across greater Birmingham. If you are a long way out, say so when you call, because on an ordered-part brand the second trip matters more than usual.
Call or text (205) 883-9703. The model number matters more here than on most brands, because it decides how quickly a part can be had.
Calls and texts Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm, and Saturday too; Sunday goes to voicemail.
