What People Here Actually Call It
Most of the time, people in Cahaba Heights do not say they live in Vestavia Hills. They say Cahaba. The chamber of commerce lists it as its own business district, and the elementary school is still called Vestavia Hills Elementary Cahaba Heights.
Use whichever name you use. It is the same van either way and the same price either way. The only reason to mention it on the phone is that it says something about the house, and the house says something about the machine.
The same goes for Meadowbrook, Brook Highland, Lake Purdy and Highland Lakes, out along 280 and 119. They are communities, not towns, they are all covered, and if you are unsure which name to give, the nearest crossroads works.
The Half-Century This Town Skipped
What that rules out
Nobody here is calling about a kitchen laid out before the war. The oldest ordinary Vestavia house is a 1950s one, which usually means a machine that has been replaced three or four times rather than a machine nobody has ever moved. What it does not tell you is where the laundry sits or how it is wired, and those vary house to house here. Worth a sentence on the phone.
And the one operational thing worth knowing
Liberty Park has gated entrances. If your address is behind one, say so when you book and say how a visitor gets through. A van parked on the right street and stopped at a gate is a wasted appointment for both of you, and thirty seconds on the phone prevents it.
The Price of the House Is Not the Price of the Job
The service call is $100 in Vestavia Hills exactly as it is in Gardendale. A more expensive house does not mean a more expensive machine, and very often it means a mainstream washer that a builder installed and nobody has thought about since.
The machine decides the job. The address decides nothing about it except how far the van has to come, and Vestavia Hills is not far.

Questions From Vestavia Hills and Cahaba Heights
Do you cover Cahaba Heights, or only Vestavia Hills proper?
Both, and Liberty Park. One city, one call-out area, one price.
What does a visit cost?
$100 for the service call. It covers the trip and a full diagnosis and comes off the repair if you go ahead. A repair price over the phone before anybody has seen the machine would be a guess.
How soon can somebody come out?
Booking is usually a day or two out. If you call before noon and it genuinely cannot wait, same day is sometimes possible, but it is never promised.
Are you insured?
Insured, yes, and a certificate is available on request.
Is there a warranty?
90 days on labor and on any part we supply. The exclusions are short and they are listed in full on the FAQs, which is the one place that carries the whole policy.
Do you cover Mountain Brook and Homewood as well?
Both, and each has its own page.
Is there a discount for veterans?
10% for military and veterans, if you mention it when you book.
Every Service, and the Page That Explains It
Each of these has its own page with what is covered and what the job usually involves.
