Electric or Gas? Worth a Ten-Second Look Before You Call
Aaron services electric dryers, so it is worth knowing which kind you have before you call.
It is worth asking rather than assuming. The City of Hoover's own utilities page puts Spire at around 35,000 customers in the city, gas customers of every kind, so plenty of Hoover houses have gas somewhere in them. Whether yours is at the laundry hookup is a ten-second look.
Pull it forward and look at the back
Pull the dryer forward and look behind it. A gas line running into the back, with a shutoff valve on the wall, means gas. A heavy power cord and nothing else means electric. If you cannot get behind it or you are not sure, send a photo of the back. That answers it faster than talking about it does. If it turns out to be gas, you will hear that on the phone rather than at your door. A gas range whose oven will not heat is a job he does take.
What It Costs
$100 to come out. One flat-rate number after that, worked out once he has seen the machine, and it is not itemized. A no-heat repair is typically half an hour to an hour, arriving to driving away.
The work and any part supplied carry 90 days, with the exclusions set out on the FAQs.
What to have ready. How long a load takes now against how long it used to, and whether the machine still gets hot. Two answers, thirty seconds, and they decide where he starts.

Questions People Ask Here
What if I cannot move it to look?
Then do not move it. A photo of whatever you can see settles it more often than not, and if it does not, say so when you book and he will take that into account.
Can you tell me what is wrong before you come out?
More often than people expect. With the model number and an accurate description he can usually pre-diagnose it before he leaves, which is what decides whether the part travels with him.
Somebody already sold me a part.
If it is an original manufacturer part he will put it in, and the labor is still under the 90 days. Aftermarket parts are the ones he turns down.
